Cigna Global has just introduced a new and innovative product benefit: 60+ Care. Effective 26 September 2016, senior Gold and Platinum plan customers who have selected the International Outpatient module will be provided with outpatient cover for five common pre-existing conditions.
60+ Care provides coverage for certain pre-existing conditions, allowing customers to maintain their condition and lead a healthier lifestyle. Cigna Global believes that the new 60+ Care benefit, coupled with the fact that there are no age restrictions on our plans, makes Cigna Global Health Options a very competitive option for senior clients.
The five conditions included in 60+ Care are:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Osteoporosis /Osteopenia
- Arthritis, joint or back pain
The 60+ Care benefit is available to customers who:
- Are aged 60 years or older (including those who are turning 60 years old within the policy year)
- Who choose a Gold or Platinum plan
- Have selected the International Outpatient module
Annual limits (up to the max shown per period of cover):
- Gold: $1,000
- Platinum: $2,000
Are there any other product changes?
Effective 26 September 2016, Cigna Global is also introducing a reduction in the waiting period for orthodontic treatment from 24 months to 18 months in the International Vision and Dental module.
When will the rates reflect these new changes?
From 26 September 2016, all quotes will include the new 60+ Care benefit, the reduction in the orthodontic treatment waiting period, and updated documentation and terms and conditions will apply.
Do the changes apply to existing plan members?
Yes, but only at renewal. Customers renewing on 26 September 2016 and on wards will receive the new policy documents, benefits and terms and conditions.
