10/30/2013 (Italy) – Demonstrations take place in Italy from time to time in response to world events or local developments. United States citizens should keep current with media coverage of local events and be aware of their surroundings at all times.
The police informed the U.S. Embassy in Rome that tomorrow, October 30, a demonstration sponsored by the organization “Liberta e democrazia per lIran” (Freedom and democracy for Iran) will take place near the BNL building (at the corner of Via Bissolati and Via Veneto), directly across from the Via Veneto Embassy Compound, from 10:00 to 13:00.
The Police informed that the number of demonstrators should be around 20. The police will be present to monitor the event.
The U.S. Embassy in Rome recommends that U.S. Citizens and their families avoid the demonstrations and exercise caution if walking or driving in the proximity of the area.
