Dental plans are becoming more and more popular with individuals and families. For a long time most of the dental plans available were very simple in design – not to mention very restrictive. Many dentists simply were not willing to participate with the HMO style plans such as Delta PMI program.
Then we started to see PPO styled plans and two of the better ones out there are the Anthem Blue Cross Dental Blue plans and Humana has a lower cost PPO plan called HumanaOne Preventive which is a good option for those who do not need coverage for major services. Both of these dental plans offer the consumer some really good choices and I like them.
Now come along Assurant Health with their stand alone dental plans which ups the competition. Assurant Health offers three dental plans to choose from, the Basic, the Intermediate and the Plus plan. All three pay dental plans pay CASH benefits to the plan member when they have dental checkups and/or treatment – making it easier to keep up with regular visits to the dentist and lead a healthier life.
The Assurant dental plans do not require you to select a provider from a network and there is no waiting period at all for Preventive Services. They pay up to $100 CASH for a preventive visit every 6 months. In addition the Plus plan which is their best plan provides services for both Basic and Major services. And once again unlike other dental plans you can access benefits for both Basic and Major services with no waiting period. During the first year the benefits are paid at 50% of the per-service benefit and after the first year it goes to 100% of the per-service benefit. And better yet the calendar-year benefit with the Plus plan is $1,500 per plan member and the preventive benefits are in addition to this maximum.
The plans are easy to apply for and effective dates can be a early as tomorrow. If you would like to read more about these plans click here. If you would like us to email you a quote for you or your family click on the email link that follows and email us your information. Bottom line – if you are looking for dental plan that provides you complete freedom of choice at a competitive rate this is a series of plans to definately consider. I like them.
